For this brief we had to re-imagine the title sequence from an existing film. I re-imagined the opening sequence of 2001 A Space Odyssey as an animated movie.

Jupiter And Beyond The Infinite

Year 3 Statement Collection.. Two looks based on one source incorporating cross referencing of details, styles, designers concepts that inspire my work. Source is Stanely Kubrick's "2001 - A Space Odyssey" considered to be one of the greatest films ever made. Mainly based around the Quantum Singularity / Temperal Vortex  in the chapter "Jupiter and Beyond The Infinite" incorporating creative Japanese pattern cutting techniques, strapping and embroidered hardware elements.


Below are excerpts from the film, the first one is the unmistakable epic opening sequence from the film and the second is an "Orbital" music video for "Halcyon" incorporating imagery of the journey through the infinite. Both very much worth a look. They are followed by a video "Jupiter and Beyond The Infinite" set to "Echoes" by Pink Floyd.
